SINGAPORE: Tickets for the Barclays Asia Trophy 2015, which features Premier League teams Arsenal, Everton and Stoke and takes place in July, will go on sale from Wednesday morning (May 13).
The public can get the tickets from 10am on Wednesday, with more than 90,000 tickets available for the two match days. About 70 per cent of the tickets will be on sale for S$70 or less, and the cheapest adult ticket is S$40 while children will be able to watch from S$25, the organiser said in a press release.
Kicking off the four-team mini-tournament are Everton and Stoke City at 6pm on Wednesday (July 15), followed by Arsenal taking on a Singapore Select XI, coached by former Lions star V Sundramoorthy. The finals will take place on Saturday (Jul 18), it added.
The three Premier League clubs are expected to bring their first-team squads, with stars such as Chile’s Alexis Sanchez, Germany’s Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker, Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku and English starlets Ross Barkley and John Stones in the teams’ lineups.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said in the press release: “I am pleased to be going to Singapore because Arsenal has many fans there and we always get a very warm welcome in Asia.” Meanwhile, Everton coach Roberto Martinez said the competition will be competitive, as teams will be playing for fans catching the team in the flesh for the first time……..
